Employees and applicants

Every test request, test result, random selection, accident, and training record in Med-Stop belongs to an employee or applicant record. Keeping these records accurate, with one record per person and correct employment dates, DOT status, and license information, is what makes testing, random pools, and compliance alerts work correctly.

Most tasks start from the Employees menu. What you see depends on your company's services and your user permissions.

Add people

Add a new employee	Create a record for a person who already works for your company, then order a pre-employment test and set up random testing.
Add a new applicant	Record a candidate before hiring, for example to send them for a pre-employment test.
New Applicant or New Employee?	Decide which one to use.

Find and review records

Find employees and applicants	Search the active, DOT, non-DOT, applicant, terminated, and removed lists.

Change employment status

Employment status and dates	Hire an applicant, correct dates, or choose the right status action.
Terminate an employee	End an employment period.
Reactivate a former employee	Bring back a terminated employee using the existing record.
Remove an applicant	Close out an applicant who will not be hired.
Merge duplicate employee records	Combine two records for the same person (restricted access).
