If your company is DOT-regulated and you are its only driver, you still must be in a random testing program. Under 49 CFR 382.103(b), an owner-operator must be in a random pool that includes more people than just the owner-operator. In practice, owner-operators meet this by joining a consortium managed by a consortium/third-party administrator (C/TPA).

The Med-Stop Random Service you set up yourself is a single-employer program: it does not combine your employees with other companies' employees. Do not rely on it if your company is a one-person operation.
If a C/TPA that uses Med-Stop runs your random program, the C/TPA manages the pools and selections, and you cannot change the random setup yourself. The TPA Documents option in the Random menu shows the documents your C/TPA requires and the signed documents on file. See Consortium members.
Med-Stop itself does not act as your company's consortium or TPA; the Random Service setup screen states this. If you need a consortium, arrange it with a C/TPA. For help with how a C/TPA program appears in your account, contact Med-Stop Support.
