An authenticator app on your phone generates the security codes you use to sign in to Med-Stop and to confirm certain security-protected tasks. Authenticator apps are generally more secure than text message codes, and they work where there is no cellular service.

Before you start

Install an authenticator app on your phone, such as Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator, or Twilio Authy.

Steps

1. In Med-Stop, open your security settings (My Info, then Med-Stop Security) and choose to use an authentication app.
2. In the authenticator app, add a new account and scan the QR code that Med-Stop displays.
3. Enter the 6-digit code from the app in the field provided to finish setup.

What happens next

When Med-Stop asks for a verification code, open the authenticator app and enter the current code for your Med-Stop account.

Tips

• If you get a new phone, set up the authenticator app again before you remove the old one.
• Never share codes from your authenticator app.
