A selection closes when the employee completes the random test.

• Tested at a Med-Stop location: the test is entered automatically and the selection closes automatically.
• Tested elsewhere: enter the test yourself to close the selection.

Steps

1. From Random > Random Selections use New Test Record, or choose Employees > New Test Record.
2. Select the employee and enter the test with the reason Random and the same test type as the selection.
3. Complete the collection and result details and select Finish.
4. Open the selection and check that it is closed. If it is still open, select Change Status and choose the completed status.

Only a random test entered for an employee with an open random selection closes that selection and counts toward the pool.
