Company Setup / System settings and options
You can customize Med-Stop options to match your company’s internal procedures and needs.
The following options can be set at this time:
By default, when you create a Test Request and the employee completes the test at a Med-Stop testing location, the test is entered into the Med-Stop system, and Test Request is automatically closed. If, for any reason, you wish to have full control over the Test Request status, for example, to review the test results first, you can set this option to NO, and the Test Request will need to be closed manually.
By default, when a random test is performed at a Med-Stop testing location and entered into the Med-Stop system, the related Test Request and associated Random Selection are closed automatically. If you prefer to review and close the Random Selection manually, set this option to NO.
If an employee/applicant not listed under your company is tested at a Med-Stop location and specifies your company as their employer, they will, by default, be added to your applicant list with a status of NEW. If your company does not want this to happen, set this option to NO. This will mean that any employee reporting for testing at a Med-Stop location must already be on your company list before the test is performed.
Med-Stop allows you to set up your company with Branches (Terminals). In this case, the company has one main location and multiple branches, to which employees and company contacts can be assigned. For more information, see the Branch Management topic in the Help system.
Med-Stop allows you to set up to five custom information fields on the Employee Status page. For example, you can store additional information such as an employee’s emergency contact.
The custom field setup includes two options:
A short label describing the field’s content.
The format of the field specifies what type of information will be stored.
Additional setup options will be added based on employer feedback and needs.
