What is the National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners?

The National Registry of Certified Medical Examiners (NRCME) is FMCSA's list of healthcare professionals who have completed training and passed a certification test to perform DOT physicals. A DOT physical must be performed by an examiner on the Registry (49 CFR 391.43).
- Drivers and employers can search the Registry to find an examiner or confirm an examiner's certification.
- Examiners report every exam result to FMCSA through the Registry.
Search the Registry at nationalregistry.fmcsa.dot.gov.
