How often are random selections made?

Selections are made at the start of every selection period, using the frequency set for the pool (for example quarterly, bi-monthly, or monthly). Med-Stop can also add selections during a period if the pool grows.
DOT rules require random tests to be unannounced and spread reasonably throughout the calendar year (49 CFR 382.305(k)). For DOT pools, use quarterly or more frequent periods.
