Communication Setup controls how Med-Stop reaches your company: the main phone, fax, and email on file, the secured fax number used for drug test results, and which events send you a notification. Review it when you first set up your company and whenever a phone number, fax, or responsible person changes.

Before you start

• You need company-management permissions.
• Know which fax machine is secure and restricted to people authorized to see drug test results, such as your DER.

Steps

1. Open Company > Communication Setup. You can also select Communication Setup in the secured fax section of Company > Information.
2. Company numbers: verify the Company Main Phone Number, Alt Phone Number, Company Fax Number, Company Cell Phone Number, email address, and web page. Select Next.
3. Contact numbers: verify the direct phone, cell, fax, and email of the contact shown. Use Reset to Company Main to copy the company numbers. Select Next.
4. Drug test results: choose whether to Block all Drug Test Result Sending. If you choose No, select the Secured Fax Number for Drug Test Results, or choose Other and enter the number.
5. Notifications: choose the option for each notification type: Med-Stop System Alerts, Employee Added by Test Site, Employee Test Completed, Drug Test MRO Result, Test Collection Refusal, and Receipt after Employer Paid Test.
6. Review the summary. Use Back to correct anything, then select Finish.

Tips

• A notification tells you something happened; it is not always the complete result. Open the test record to review results and documents.
• Send drug test results only to a secure destination that authorized people control. Update the secured fax number as soon as it changes.
• The secured fax number is shown read-only in Company Information; change it here.
