Sign in at a collection site station
Last Updated: 09/24/2026

This guide is for collection site and clinic staff who perform tests in Med-Stop. Every Med-Stop testing station must be authorized before it can be used for testing.

Authorize the station

  1. Open Med-Stop in the browser on the station computer.
  2. Call the number shown at the top right of the screen, or follow the instructions below the sign-in prompt.
  3. Stay in front of the station with the browser window open. The operator asks for the Station Authorization Code, shown a few lines below the Login button, and the physical location of the computer. Additional verification may be required.

Sign in with your own credentials

Sign in with your individual user name and password. Do not write your credentials on paper or stick them to the monitor where colleagues, patients, or visitors can see them. The security of customers' personal data depends on it.

Your privileges in Med-Stop determine the types of tests you can perform and the information you can see.

Alerts after sign-in

Depending on your privileges and account status, alerts may appear after you sign in. Critical alerts must be resolved before you can perform any test; others can be skipped temporarily, but that is not recommended. Select the alert, for example a request to update medical insurance information, to open the update screen.

Personal information is protected against accidental changes. To change it, select Protected Info Update at the bottom of the screen, and always make updates while signed in with your own credentials.

Roles and required credentials

  • Drug test sample collection
  • Alcohol testing
  • Medical/physical examination

Your location administrator or Med-Stop staff asks which roles you are certified and authorized for during your initial setup. Collectors do not need to provide a medical license or malpractice insurance. Medical doctors and chiropractors who perform medical exams must provide and maintain a valid medical license and insurance information. Med-Stop reminds you before these documents expire; if they lapse, your ability to perform medical exams is suspended automatically, while any drug and alcohol testing privileges stay active.
