Why is a drug test result still pending?

A drug test result is reported only after three stages are done: collection, laboratory testing, and review by the Medical Review Officer (MRO). The time needed varies, for example when the MRO must reach the employee to discuss a result.
- Check the test request: a completed request means the specimen was collected.
- Check the test record and any message at the top of it, such as a request for the DER to contact the MRO.
- Do not order a new test just because the result is pending.
If more information is needed, contact Med-Stop Support or the reviewing office with the test details. This page does not promise a fixed turnaround.
