Step-by-Step Data Collection
Most new information in Med-Stop is created using a step-by-step data collection process.
This process guides you through information entry in steps, which helps reduce missing or incorrect data.
Navigation
At the top of the window, you will see a label describing the process. Below that is a short explanation of the current step.
The main area of the screen is for data entry. Use the TAB key or arrow keys to move between fields. The selected field is highlighted.
At the bottom, you will find these buttons:
Cancel
Cancels the process. Information entered so far will be lost.
Back
Returns to the previous page.
Next
Moves forward in the data collection process.
Finish
On the last page, this button performs the final action. Until you select Finish, you can still use Cancel without affecting your data.
Complete the data collection process by selecting Finish on the final screen.
Verify all information before selecting Finish. You can return to previous pages to review the data.
In some cases, if additional tasks are available after data creation is complete, you will see a Show Additional Tasks on Finish selection box. Selecting Yes takes you to an additional screen after you select Finish, where you can choose from a list of possible actions.
