§382.707 Notice to drivers of entry, revision, removal, or release of information

(a) The Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) must notify a driver whenever information about that driver has been added to, revised in, or removed from the Clearinghouse.
(b) FMCSA must also notify a driver when information concerning that driver has been released from the Clearinghouse to an employer, and must specify the reason for the release.
(c) Notifications will be sent by U.S. Mail to the driver’s address on record with the State Driver Licensing Agency (SDLA) that issued the driver’s Commercial Driver’s License (CDL).
Exception: A driver may provide the Clearinghouse with an alternative notification method, including an email address.
