While you may use some of the functionality of Med-Stop web sites and Med-Stop Access service without registration, many of the specific tools and services require registration. If you choose to register with Med-Stop, we then require you to submit personally identifiable information. As part of Med-Stop Access service we may also collect personal health information. Information We Collect from Unregistered VisitorsYou can access the Med-Stop home page, and browse some areas of the site, without disclosing any personally identifiable information. We do track information provided to us by your browser, including the referring Web site addresses. You should also be aware that when you visit our website, your IP address as assigned to you by your ISP is captured for security purposes. On most of our sites, you must register with us to use the entire site. Information We Collect When You RegisterCustomers registering for services on our Web sites are asked to provide us with identifying information, such as name, gender, contact information, and other identifying information. On our registration screen, we clearly label which information is required for registration, and which information is optional and may be given at your discretion. Information from Outside SourcesWe may also collect information about you, your company from other sources in order to verify your status and identity. In some cases we may ask customers for information after they register, such as credit card information. Where necessary (for example, to process the service), Med-Stop may contact financial or credit organizations to confirm customer credit cards. Use of CookiesA cookie is a piece of data stored on your computer. Cookies cannot be used to run programs or deliver viruses to your computer. Cookies are uniquely assigned to you, and can only be read by a web server in the domain that issued the cookie to you. We do not use cookies on web sites and pages which do not require registration. Med-Stop stores a unique, non-personally identifiable Station Id in the cookie on your computer during the login process. The purpose of this action is to increase your data security. Use of your Personal InformationMed-Stop collects and uses your personal information to deliver the services you have requested. We do not sell, rent or lease customer data to third parties. We work with other companies to provide services on our behalf, such as providing customer support, processing transactions, or performing analysis of our services. We will only provide those companies the personal information they need to deliver the service. They are required to maintain the confidentiality of your information and are prohibited from using that information for any other purpose. We will disclose information in compliance with applicable laws and regulations and will require the recipient to protect the information and use it only for the purposes provided. Children's PrivacyMed-Stop Access service and Med-Stop web sites are designed and intended for use by adults, and are not intended for, nor designed to be used by children under the age of 18. We do not collect personally identifiable information from any person we know is a child under the age of 13. Security of your Personal InformationMed-Stop is committed to protecting the security of your personal information. We use a variety of security technologies and procedures to help protect your personal information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. For example, we store the personal information you provide on computer systems with limited access, which are located in controlled facilities. When we transmit highly confidential information (such as a credit card number) over the Internet, we protect it through the use of encryption, such as the Secure Socket Layer (SSL) protocol. Med-Stop uses security methods to determine the identity of its registered users, so that appropriate rights and restrictions can be enforced for that user. Med-Stop uses both password and username to authenticate users. We deployed additional security mechanisms to increase your data security. Users are responsible for maintaining their own passwords. Storage of Health InformationPersonally identifiable health information that you share with us is stored on our database servers at Med-Stop data centers or hosted by third parties who have entered into agreements with us that require them to observe our Privacy Policy. We have a firewall to prevent individuals from accessing information without authorization. Data centers are physically secure and protected from unauthorized access by unauthorized persons. Physical access to the servers is constantly monitored and requires individual authorization and authentication. Information in our data centers is backed up routinely, in order to aid in the recovery of information in the event of accidental damage of information or due to a natural disaster. The backup media is stored in a physically secure storage facility. Control of your Personal InformationMed-Stop offers its customers choices for the collection, use and sharing of personal information. You can correct, update or review information you have submitted at any time, by going back to the specific tool, logging-in and making the desired changes. Upon your request, we will delete your personally identifiable or personal health information from our active databases and where feasible from our back-up media. Requests for deletion of your record may result in your removal from the Med-Stop Access service, but we may keep certain demographic information about you for product improvement purposes. You may contact Med-Stop Customer Support and ask for the changes that you would like to make. Changes to This Privacy PolicyWe may change this privacy policy from time to time, so please check back often. We will let you know that the policy has been changed by changing the effective date at the bottom of this page. We will always let you know the information we collect, how we use it, and the circumstances under which such information may be disclosed by us. If at any point we decide to use personally identifiable information in a manner different from that stated at the time it was collected, we would notify users by way of an e-mail.
